Shortfill e-liquids are 60ml bottles that contain 50ml of juice, leaving enough room for you to add a 10ml nic shot to reach your desired e-liquid strength. Shortfills allow you to buy more e-liquid at a cheaper price as it is not premixed, we give you the option to purchase 50ml alone or add on a 1.8% (18mg) nic shot (in a separate 10ml bottle) to achieve a 3mg strength when mixed at no extra cost.
Decadent Vapours shortfills are made from the finest ingredients and are third-party tested to ensure they are clean and free from any contaminants. Explore the weird and wonderful World of Fantastical Flavours which include the highly sought-after Bluebarb and Choccywoccymoo, not to mention the other delightful flavours in the range.
The DV Originals collection of shortfills are based on our award-winning premixed e-liquid flavours, such as the world-renowned Absinthe. There are also new shortfill flavour creations flying off the shelves like Blueberry Jam Welsh Cake, paying homage to our homeland Wales.
What are shortfill e-liquids?
Shortfills are larger bottles of e-liquid that don’t contain nicotine. They are 60ml bottles filled with 50ml of e-liquid, leaving enough room for you to add a nic shot to make it your desired strength.
Shortiflls were produced in a response to the legislation introduced by the Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) which limited the volume of nicotine e-liquid which can be sold to 10ml. As shortfills contain no nicotine, larger volumes can be sold which is more cost-effective for you than purchasing lots of smaller bottles of premixed e-liquid and prevents unnecessary plastic waste. This is especially true for vapers who sub-ohm as they can use up juice very quickly on their high powered devices.
It is easy to get started with shortfills, all you do is remove the top of the shortfill and add a 10ml nic shot to the bottle, then give a good shake to evenly mix the ingredients and ensure the best flavour. Let it settle until the bubbles disperse and then enjoy your vape!

Are shortfills right for me?
Typically shortfills are only vaped by those who desire a nicotine strength of 0mg, 3mg or 6mg. It is harder to achieve a higher strength as EU regulations limit the nicotine content of 10ml nic shots to 2% (20mg) which is diluted down to a relatively low strength when added to a 50ml shortfill bottle. Therefore, shortfills are best for those who sub-ohm, use a powerful device or just simply prefer less nicotine content.
The base used in shortfills is usually higher in VG than PG which is great for low resistance coils but can quickly clog up your standard coil. Most of our shortfills are 70VG/30PG which we find gives the best balance between throat hit, flavour and cloud production. Find out more about the difference between PG and VG in our handy guide.
Those who require a higher nicotine strength or want a larger ratio of PG to VG with fewer clouds of vapour are better suited to premixed e-liquids or try one of the many flavour options available in the Shake and Vape kit.
How much nicotine do I add to my shortfill?
Most commonly, vapers will add a 10ml nic shot containing 18mg (1.8%) of nicotine to 50ml of e-liquid to create a 3mg (0.3%) strength e-liquid. We also offer 9mg (0.9%) nic shots, which when the whole 10ml is added to 50ml of e-liquid, it dilutes down to 1.5mg (0.15%) strength e-liquid.
To help you calculate how much nicotine you need, here is a handy reference table:
It is advised not to add too much nicotine and keep to lower strengths as to not compromise the flavour of the e-liquid. This is why people typically only vape up to 6mg (0.6%) with shortfill e-liquids.
